The restaurant boasts a stunning outdoor area with views overlooking Ribeira Brava beach and beautiful sunsets, making it one of the most spectacular places to enjoy leisurely dining in Western Madeira.
Dining here is an experience, savouring delicious food while watching the sun cast its last rays over the horizon.
A glow fills the restaurant as dusk falls, making it cosier.
Menu – Food
The standard of the victuals at this eatery was exceptional. Each plate was of the finest quality and presented with great care.
We recommend the octopus à lagareiro for two and the seafood rice: cooked to perfection. It is an octopus cooked in a sauce of garlic and olive oil. Lagareiro is the person controlling a lagar (an olive oil press).
Of course, a meal wouldn’t be complete without a good glass of plonk. This restaurant has a good selection.
But what really sets it apart is the octopus lagareiro style. It is simply the best in Madeira; the flavour is rich. The texture is simply divine.
The bolo do caco with garlic butter is also noteworthy, ideal for any time, whether you’re after a quick bite or a complement to your meal. Typical sweet bread from Madeira, Portugal. Sweet potatoes and flour are used to make the bread.
Give it a go, and you won’t be disappointed!
When it comes to meat dishes, you can’t go wrong with the Madeira-style picanha and the regional kebabs. Both were delicious and prepared with great care and attention, using the freshest ingredients.
Picanha often referred to as sirloin cap, is a beef cut taken from the cow’s rump.
If you’re looking for a delicious vegetarian dish, treat yourself to the creamy mushroom risotto.
Finally, we’d recommend cheesecake for pudding, the perfect after-dinner indulgence.
It’s a delicious treat that will tease your taste buds.
Price:
The average cost per person was 30 euros, which was great considering what was available. I’d say that we got a good deal for our money.
Service:
The employee who accompanied us was friendly. Answered all our questions and gave us tips on things to do in the western part of Madeira.
His colleague was also incredibly kind! Both were knowledgeable about the menu and local area.
Conclusion:
It’s a pleasure to eat at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. And you can park easily, which makes the whole thing even better.
