This breathtaking waterfall, situated at the Anjos site in Ponta do Sol, is sustained by the unrelenting flow from the levada that traverses the island.

On the Southern Coast of the Island, adjacent to regional road 101:

  • 1.5 km (westward) from the centre of the municipality of Ponta do Sol;
  • 25 km (westward) from Funchal, the capital of the island of Madeira;
  • Ten km (eastward) from Calheta.

Getting to Cascata dos Anjos Waterfall

From Funchal city, follow Via Rápida 1 westward, towards Câmara de Lobos.

Upon reaching the third exit, indicated by Cabo Girão, turn left onto Padre António Dinis Henrique Road.

The imposing Cabo Girão is only 2 kilometres away, but the adventure continues to the charming Ponta do Sol.

Cross the tunnel on the west side of the beach, passing road signs warning of the danger of rock falls.

Upon reaching the Angel’s Cascade, the crystal-clear waters and peaceful environment will leave you in a wonder state.
