In 2014, Madeiran sculptor Ricardo Veloza revealed the bronze statue (3.4 meters high).

Cristiano was then 29 years old and visibly moved.

The statue received international press attention, as Ricardo Veloza highlighted the player’s virility. 

This did not go unnoticed.

According to Time, the sculpture made “an impression”. Metro mentioned a “bump”, and Mashable reported the shorts were “not big enough”…

Most fans joke about it, taking pictures next to the hands and groin. Those areas are more polished…

CR7 Museum

Next to the statue, the CR7 Museum features a vast collection of items related to Ronaldo’s career, including trophies, medals, boots and uniforms.

The museum also offers interactive experiences that allow visitors to feel they are next to Ronaldo.

The CR7 Museum opened in 2013, managed by Cristiano Ronaldo and his brother.

Tourists and football fans both like to go there. It has got excellent reviews. It gives a unique look at Ronaldo’s career.

Besides the museum itself, the complex also includes a souvenir shop and café, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise related to Ronaldo and his career.

Pestana CR7 Hotel

The Pestana CR7 is a partnership between the Pestana hotel group and the famous Portuguese soccer player. Opened in 2016, offers guests’ elegant rooms and first-class services.

There is a pool outside, a spa, a gym, a bar, and a restaurant that serves delicious food.


Besides the amenities, the Pestana CR7 gives us access to the CR7 Museum.
