In the heart of the capital of the island of Madeira, La Vie Funchal arises. The shopping centre resides in the Funchal Centrum building, designed by the famous Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill.
It initially opened under Dolce Vita Funchal, changing its name to La Vie in 2015.
It is conveniently located near the Casino, the Funchal Marina, the CR7 Museum, Santa Catarina Park, and the Funchal Municipal Garden.

Parking, La Vie Funchal
The car park opens at 7 am and is open until eleven pm. Prices vary between:
- €0.40 for fifteen minutes
- 70 for half an hour
- €1.30 for 1 hour
- 60 for 2 hours
The value for the day is €10.
It is free on Saturdays from 1 pm, on Sundays (and holidays) all day.
La Vie Funchal, Stores
La Vie Funchal is a cutting-edge commercial area with seventy-one stores, an attractive restaurant area, a health club, a supermarket, and a car park with nine hundred spaces.
Among the various stores, you will find a supermarket (Pingo Doce), fashion stores such as Mango, accessories from Claire’s, electronics from Worten, hairdressers, and restaurants like Burger King.

When it opened in 2007, it was the first Portuguese shopping centre inspired by bioclimatic architecture.
Bioclimatic architecture takes climatic conditions into account.
Inside the centre, one can find The Vine Hotel and a stunning panoramic view of Funchal city centre. On the top floor, there is access to an infinity pool.
It offers its guests a variety of amenities in the rooms, including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a minibar. Additionally, free WiFi is available. Visitors arriving in vehicles have free access to the parking lot.
Check-in starts at 2:30 pm, and checkout is before 12:00 pm.
