We can visit Palheiro Golf every day from 8 am to 7 pm.

A day ticket costs close to €120. A golf cart and rental clubs cost the same: €45.
The Course
Opened in 1993 and designed by Cabell B. Robinson, the 18-hole Palheiro Golf course (par 72) is a challenging terrain full of natural hazards.
Trees and cliffs surround the fairways, requiring a strategic game of planning and precision, testing respect, patience, and discipline at every turn.
The greens are extensive, fast, and dry in spots, making three putts frequent. The tendency for nearly every shot on the course to be blind has created some incredibly challenging par 4 holes.
Due to the rough terrain of the course, we strongly recommend using golf carts, as the distance between the green and the tee is significant on some holes.
We highlight as positive points the greens, though there is not much sand in the bunkers.
The outstanding feature of the staff is their friendliness, especially the charming ladies at the reception desk. Their clubhouse colleagues are always willing to share invaluable tips on the best local attractions.

Food
We find delicious appetizers, such as grilled prawns with sauce or smoked salmon with asparagus.
Grilled ribs of beef with pepper sauce are very popular as a main dish, and there are also several pasta options.
The aroma of grilled meat hung in the air as ribs of beef was served at the table, the pepper flavour, spicy but balanced, standing out over the succulent cut of meat.
The dish is a classic, and the swordfish sautéed with chives was not far behind, the mild fish flavour accentuated by the mushroom sauce.
If you want something lighter, we suggest the baguette with marinated tuna and the bruschetta with tomato and cheese, the flavours intertwining perfectly.
