This was the location of a transport cable once used to move the region’s wealth. Even today, we can admire this structure and imagine the stories it has to tell.

From here, we can start a walk taking us to the seaside, descending through the Fajã Grande trail.

This trail winds along the hillside and allows us a more intimate observation of the lush vegetation and the agricultural terraces that spread throughout the region. It’s an experience that awakens all our senses and makes us feel closer to nature.

Casa de Chá O Fio

On the way to the Miradouro do Fio, we come across a true gem: O Fio Tea House, which attracts visitors seeking tranquillity and intoxicating flavours.

It is renowned for providing the best tea experience in Madeira, accompanied by delicious chocolate or lemon cake as the sun sets.
